The Great Aussie BBQ for the Queen

Today was the last day of the Queen's Australian Tour. She finished it off with a bbq with about 200,000 West Aussies.
The Queen left Government House at about 11am and went in a motorcade through the city down to the esplanade. She arrived on stage around 11:20am where she was welcomed with a few songs and some nice words from our Premier.
The Queen also made a speech saying how she enjoyed her trip to Australia very much and that today's event was an excellent way to end her tour. After that she moved down into the crowd with Prince Phillip and they 'mingled' with the crowd.
She met chef Anna Gare (Junior Masterchef) who cooked her own bbq but the Queen did not eat anything. She spoke to alot of children and some did drawings for her and gave her flowers. It was very nice to see and everyone that was there just seemed to be having the best day.

Mum, Emma and I volunteered to help cook the bbq's. Wow I never want to see another Bunnings hot dog again! We had been serving for half an hour but it felt like 3 hours. The line was massive and it didn't quieten down for about 2 hours. We got about a 15 minute break when the queen was actually there. It was fun and tiring but we had a great team and everyone worked really well.

Here are today's pictures:

Big Perth sign just incase you forgot where you were. Haha.
I do think they should keep it cause it looks pretty awesome.

This one is the best photo I could get of her on stage without it being an actual photo of the tv.

It turned out to be a great day and one that I will always remember.
Now we just have to have our fingers crossed for Will and Kate to come to Australia.
