Happy Mother's Day To Me

My first Mother's Day was great. Rocky took me out for breakfast to the Pickled Fig in South Beach. We had a lovely meal as always there. 

We then went over to the grassed area after to have a little photo shoot of Liam and I. 

Just a Quick One

Thursday I went to visit Bidvest where I used to work and to show off Liam. All the ladies in the office oohed and ahhed over him of course. But I just wanted to share a very funny conversation I had with Cookie when he met Liam.

To set the scene I am holding Liam and he is asleep.

Cookie: Wow he's cute man. Has his eyes opened yet?

Me: Yes Cookie he's just asleep, he isn't a kitten.

Cookie: (laughing) Well I don't know much about babies!

I thought that was brilliant and it made my day and thought I'd share it with everyone.

One Month Old! already

Today Liam is one month old. Can you believe that the time has passed this quickly already?!? 

Cause I sure can't. 

Yesterday we went to the Health Nurse and he got weighed and the best news ever is that he has put on a whopping 240gms in the last week. Which may not sound like much but in Liam's case that is excellent. So his total weight is now 2360gms or in the old measurement 5 pounds 3 ounces. So since his birth he has put on a whole pound. I was very excited and walked out one very happy Mama.

Oh yeah I also just want to share some joy I had today about myself. I managed to get back into my jeans! Yea! The last time I was able to wear them I was about 10 weeks pregnant. I grew out of my pants and jeans very fast. 

Poor Tilly!

Tuesday night Tilly thought it'd be fun to go out into her cat run and do whatever cats do in a cat run. Then come back inside with a lovely deep cut on her front leg. Oh and of course she will do it at 10pm when there are no vets open except Murdoch Emergency and they charge you $177 just to get a consult then whatever they do will be charged accordingly on top of that price.

So yes I had a lovely Tuesday night didn't get home till Midnight didn't get into bed till nearly 1am and then had to get up to Liam at 4am for his feed. 

I then had to take her back to my vet this morning where she cost me more as she had to have an operation on said leg to make sure there was no further damage and then they could stitch it up nice and neat. Cause she had to cut it all jagged like not a perfect straight cut just to be difficult. So I'm not going to mention how much it cost but it wasn't cheap and it doesn't help when we are only on the one income but never mind you do what you have to do for the fur children.

While I'm talking about the fur children they have been doing my head in the last few days, well mainly Taj, just trying to get my attention anyway he can which usually consists of him doing anything that gets him into trouble. His main one is going into the home theatre or Liam's room oh and he nearly got on the kitchen bench too. Big no no.

Obviously they are all trying to get my attention as they aren't getting as much as they used too before Liam but I am trying to spread my love around the three of them. 

Which clearly is never enough in the cats eyes.
