Liam's 1st Haircut!

I've been wanting to do this for a while now but knew I needed someone else with me. So Rocky and I were at Garden City and just thought lets get it over and done with right now. So we did.

I'm going to let the pictures tell the story.

I love how he looks now so much more like a little boy no longer a baby.
Our boy is growing up so fast he is now 16 and a half months old.

Look What I Made...

So many people I know are pregnant at the moment so I have been searching around the internet to find cute things to make for them.
This weekend was Emma's friend Sarah, Baby Shower. I made her this gorgeous travel wipes case and Nappy Cake. I'm so proud of my effort. That wipes case was so easy to make too.
No sewing required just fabric, ribbon and hot glue.

The theme for the baby shower was a Bee theme which was really cute and a great idea as it was a gender neutral party as we still don't know what she is having but I'm going with boy.
Thats why I put the bees on everything to tie in with the theme.

I learnt how to make the wipes case by following this tutorial by Sew Dang Cute Crafts
The nappy cake I learnt from you tube.

Books! Books! Books!

Liam has a new favourite pastime- Reading!
Which makes his Mum and Dad very happy as we both like to read and have since we were little.
After his bath and bottle he will sit quietly on the floor and start going through his books. He tends to have a favourite that he will just read for a few days and then move onto the next one. At the moment his favourite is his London Bus book which he got on Friday from Aunty Emma.
My favourite thing he does with his books is put the book in your lap then he turns around and walks backwards till he pretty much falls into your lap and then he sits and lets you read it to him.

These photos were taken a few weeks ago when he finally grew and could fit into his cute monster pyjamas. Yes I know Liam actually grew its amazing, but he still isn't fitting into size 1 clothes yet.

Sunny Afternoon

Now that Liam is running around and way more active than I could ever imagine, he wants to go outside and play. It seems he wants to do that even more when the weather isn't as good. So when it was a nice sunny day, we took him outside and let him run around and I got the camera out. As I realised I haven't taken many photos lately of him nor have I updated the blog.
So here are some photos of Liam playing with a rake and Dad outside.

Albany- Our First Family Holiday

Over the long weekend we had our first family holiday. We chose Albany as Rocky and Liam had never been and I haven't been since I was a kid. So thought it would be good to see things with adult eyes. We drove down on Friday and came home Sunday. It was a nice drive and we discovered Liam is a good traveller. We stopped only twice on the way down and once on the way back.

We stayed at Dog Rock Motel, Rocky kept calling it seal rock cause according to him it looks nothing like a dog. Here is a photo of Liam next to Dog Rock. I couldn't believe its size I actually forgot how big it was.

Our first touristy thing we did was visit Whaleworld. We were there in the late afternoon and of course there was also a storm rolling in. So it was freezing! We only enjoyed looking at the skeletons of the whales as they were amazing. The rest of the whaling station was horrible. I know its history and we probably should not think of it in a bad way. But I honestly don't condone it at all and even just looking at a few of the photos on the wall in one display I was borderline tears. So we didn't hang around for long. Here are the photos we took of whaleworld.

The large whale is a Pygmy Blue Whale so that means its the smaller version of a blue whale. The Blue whales are the biggest at 44m in length. This pygmy one was about 20m in length. Really unbelievable to look at but also very interesting. The smaller whale  is a Humpback Whale they are pretty small in comparison. They also had a sperm whale, and dolphin skeletons too.

Once the storm cleared the next day we went to the Gap and Natural Bridge. I was freaking out alot it was still quite windy and so cold. So these photos were taken by Rocky cause I wouldn't go that close.

Here are some random photos I took on the weekend. I love this light house photo I took from the side of the road on the way to the gap.

Liam running and pointing at the seagulls and pelicans at Emu Point. I could of stayed there for hours just watching the Pelicans on the water. We had great Fish, Squid and Chips there too.

But the highlight of the trip was the Wind Farm. We went there 3 times. But the best time was at sunset. Thats where I got these incredible shots. I love this photo of Liam as whenever we would say 'Where are the Windmills Liam?' He would point straight up at them. I know they aren't called windmills they are Turbines but still he's 1 so you know. I am still yet to decide which one of these sunset photos I am going to get blown up (I have a heap more) and put on our wall.

Liam 13 Months Old

Liam has started walking!! As in properly walking. Today he is actually standing up without holding onto anything. Its so great how quickly he is learning all this.
Not to mention his words. Wow! He can say so many now. He says cat, bird, plane, car, truck, Whats That?, Whats This?, My favourite one is bath time. Its so cute.
Today when we were driving down the freeway. He yelled out Truck as we drove past one.

Here are some photos of Liam taken this past week.
Liam is eating a Vegemite sandwich one of his favourite things to eat.

Liam helping me sort my tupperware. Kind of.
