Brock's 7th Birthday

On Sunday Brock celebrated his 7th Birthday with all his friends from school. His Birthday is actually today the 22nd. So the theme for this years party was 'Spooky'. Kellie and Charlie did a great job on all the decorations. They pretty much turned their whole garage into a creepy house. I loved the bats the best cause they were super creepy not to mention all the spiders hanging which at times you had to look twice to make sure it wasn't a real one hanging from its web. Kellie made a haunted house cake which looked pretty awesome too even with its lopsided-ness I think it just made it look more authentic.

Things I Brought for Baby Today at Bargain Prices!

So today we decided to go to Toys 'R' Us to look at a baby monitor. Funnily enough we did not leave with a baby monitor! Instead I finally found a baby bag. I was apparently being extremely fussy in choosing a nappy bag but I'm sorry I did not want to carry around some ridiculous over sized bag to take everything I do not need for him. The best bit I had a 20% discount voucher to use as well so I got $20 off the price too. Got to be happy with that!
So my nappy bag is by Avent the same brand as the bottles I will be using. I had seen it online but couldn't get a real feel for it just by looking at pictures. So this was a total fluke that I even saw them at the shop cause on the website I could not find stockists which really annoyed me. Anyway so here is a few photos of it. It even came with an interchangeable flappy bit at the front so I can have red or black depending on how I feel. I'm sticking with red for now.

It even has an insulated pocket for bottles. It keeps them hot or cold. Pretty Awesome!!

While we were there looking around I found a Sophie the Giraffe. I have wanted one of these since I got pregnant but did not want to pay the exorbitant price of $35 for one. I found it in the sale items for $18 much cheaper in my eyes. There was nothing wrong with it still in all its original packaging it just says on the little sticker last one. Hey if thats a good enough reason to mark it down then I'm happy to buy it.

Last but not least I went to Good Sammy's as they had 1/2 price clothing and got baby 2 little jackets and a pair of shorts. So everything was $1 in the baby section. The jacket with the boat is a pumpkin patch brand and doesn't look like it has been worn at all. The other is a brand called Nannette which I've never heard of but it was cute so I brought it and hasn't been worn. The shorts I didn't take a picture of but they are basically just shorts. Dark Blue in colour and are like cargo style as they have the little pockets on the legs. They were just target brand but didn't look like they had been worn at all.

Baby's Room

Today I wanted to share with you my baby's room. Its not completely finished in my eyes as I want to make a few little things and put up. Such as a mobile over the change table and a door hanging thingy which will have his name on once he is born. These are things I intend to make in the not too distant future.
Anyway I wanted to put wall decals up on the wall and I searched high and low for something that I absolutely loved straight away and that Rocky also agreed on. I looked on etsy and finally found what I wanted. Its a woodland animals theme vinyl decal. Rocky suggested we get a growth chart as well so I convo'd the seller who is simple shapes http://www.etsy.com/shop/simpleshapes who happily made a custom order to match my woodland animals. I am extremely happy with the decals the quality of them is fantastic and it looks like it was painted on to the walls.
Putting them up was a bit painful and very time consuming but the way it looks in the end is just gorgeous.

My First Post

So I’ve decided to start a blog. Have wanted too since for ever! Figured what better time to do it than now, seeing as though I’ll be off work soon for maternity leave.
My main object of this blog is to document my daily life as I’m about to step into motherhood and also my craft. While I’m on maternity leave I really hope to start my own etsy shop so I may not have to go to work as much as I need too later.
Anyway I have a lot of hope and aspirations for this blog so I’m hoping I can stick with it but I’m sure I will. I will try and make my posts as interesting as possible and also creative in the same way. Hopefully by the weekend I will have something really awesome to blog about.
Till Then-Hope
